Bridge Worldwide Gives Back to the Cincinnati Community
[Cincinnati, OH, Dec 14, 2009]
Bridge Worldwide released its community involvement annual report that captures the events, people, and results of some of the many ways the company gave back to the Cincinnati community throughout the year. The initiative is led by Bridge Community, composed of Bridge Worldwide employees and other participants. Members collaborate on pro bono projects to serve charitable organizations, help local causes, and improve community members’ lives.
“At Bridge Worldwide, we pride ourselves on our entrepreneurial culture and constantly keep in mind the pillar of our company equity—Effecting Change,” said Jay Woffington, President and CEO of Bridge Worldwide. “While we aim to effect change for our clients every day, our community efforts are living examples of Bridge culture and of how our employees effect change in the community that is driven by their individual passions.”
Among many things, Bridge Community members have packed more than 1,200 bags of food for children who benefit from the Freestore Foodbank Power Pack program, pitched in at the League for Animal Welfare with material donations and facility cleanup, and hand-made numerous blankets for children in the foster care system benefiting from ProKids, an organization that trains volunteers to become Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs).
Bridge Community organizes employees to donate time and talents to various aspects of the Cincinnati community. It encourages employees to guide the selection of charitable events and projects, and provides an outlet for employees to get involved at the level they choose—as event leaders, team members, or day-of volunteers.
“At Bridge Worldwide, our employees have a passion for giving back," said Sarah Medley, Bridge Community Leader and Senior Project Manager at Bridge Worldwide. "The Bridge Community seeks to find opportunities to give back that reflect that passion, and to inspire employees, their families, and their friends to make the world a better place.”
